SP Group is donating S$1.35 million to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to establish the SP Group Engineering Study Awards. This funding will provide monthly financial support to 450 engineering students from low-income families over the next three years.
SP Group has a history of supporting ITE students through book prizes and job exposure to nurture the next generation of technical officers and engineers for Singapore. The initiative aims to help students focus on their studies without the need for extensive part-time work. Additionally, SP will collaborate with ITE to provide work-study opportunities and mentorship in various engineering fields.
Over the years, SP has awarded more than 450 education scholarships, sponsorships and book prizes amounting to S$10 million to inspire and level the playing field for students with a passion for engineering.
